Why “churchianity?”
You may have noticed if you’ve ever seen this site before (not likely… but possible) that I’ve completely revamped and put up a bit of content related to who I am, my family, what I’m reading, etc. Of particular note is the block of content on your left called “churchianity” and I thought I might explain myself before we all get our underpants in a bunch.
First, I want all to know that this is not at all intended to be meant as disrespect to God or the church, quite the contrary in fact. I’ve penned this somewhat irreverently sarcastic moniker as a bucket for all things related to my participation in Christian culture which at times is church life and at others is the war within.
Second, it is meant to cause us to re-evaluate our perception of self, relationship to our Almighty creator, and participation in corporate fellowship known more commonly as “the church.” It’s a dialogue on what church is, what Christianity is, what it really means to be a Jesus follower.
I welcome your response.
