Reading, writing, and… sexual orientation?

The way Christians handle issues regarding sexual orientation is always going to be a touchy (yikes)… how about difficult topic.  Let’s face it folks, we live in a fallen world… full of sin and broken people.  That said, I have to stand up and say how sick I am of the liberal, whacked out, flag burning… geez I need to calm down.

The issue: there is a bill on the desk of Governor Schwarzewhatever of California aimed at setting aside May 22nd as “Harvey Milk Day.”  Aww, how sweet.  For those of you who may not be familiar with this man, he is a social scientist of sorts and openly gay activist, who in the 70′s championed the cause of homosexuality and promoted sexual experimentation, activism, and the elimination of sexual inhibitions and boundaries.  To sum it up, he wanted us to teach our kids to be gay.  Wow… what a great idea… NOT!

So now, instead of focusing on education and development we’re letting nut’os like state Assemblyman Mark Leno (D-San Francisco) push his sexual agenda on our children.  Amazing.

Am I Homophobic – gawd no.  Homosexuals are people… broken people in my opinion, but people nonetheless.  Please forgive me my bible-based opinion but that’s exactly the way God lays it out.  You know who else is broken?  Alcoholics, the obese, the chronically angry, and all of the rest of us, each in our screwed up little ways.  I’m not defending homosexuality but I’m certainly not going to promote it either.  This is the kind of CRAP that should be left out of our schools and saved for HOME.  If you want to teach your little Johnny that it’s perfectly acceptable to grow up and marry another man, that’s your business… it’s sick… but it’s your business. DO NOT try to force recognition of this kind of sickness as “forward thinking” or “enlightened” on me or my children.

If you live in California, you might want to consider letting your great Governor know that when AB 2567 gets near his pen he should first cry his eyes out that the world has come to this point… then VETO the heck out of it… as humanly fast as possible.  Either that or we should also set up days to recognize the Pilsbury Dough Boy and Jeffrey Dahmer.  This is just nuts.
