So I’ve been reading The Resurgence blogs for about a year now, and today I came across a blog by a guy in my church, Scott Knight. Seriously, I see this guy every week and I had no idea he was part of such an incredible work, reaching communities by being culturally accessible but still biblically faithful.

First, Scott Knight is among a growing body of faithful believers who are also nutso about Ultimate Fighting. Scott trains with these guys, and uses this super-sport to reach out to a segment of our culture that is drastically under-reached… namely, the 18-35, ultra-testosterone crowd. While I can’t say this is my bag, I’m definitely more of the emo-wannabe, music driven, crybaby group, but I am always so impressed to see the ways that Christians are starting to figure it out and turn passion into outreach in a way that’s relevant and real.

So with that, I’ll shut up and let you just click over to his site. Awesome, awesome job dude. Thumbs up.

For the postmodern generation, I’m Jeremy Anderson saying “Jesus Loves You” and so do I.

This is reformission at its absolute finest.

what would jesus vote for?

Thanks for the mention! I’m looking forward to hearing you preach (can we still call it preaching?) on Sunday night.

There are a LOT of people who have problems with fighters being Christians and it is nice to see that you get it. It is very encouraging so Thanks.

I’m not on again until January, but come on out and check Ben dropping it real in November and Matt Patrick has the mic in December. God is doing some amazing stuff at the Gathering and I can’t wait to hang out with you guys, so come on by!

Peace –> Jeremy
