About miletwo
miletwo::network exists to bring together churches and communications experts in pursuit of sharing Jesus to a culture that longs for him desperately but desires to experience him in a way that is real and is relevant. Our mission is not to market the phony gospel that people want to hear, but to market the authentic gospel in a way that the modern culture can understand.
The name miletwo has always been about going the extra mile, whether in life, work, or ministry. Recently separated from my loving friends at miletwo::church due to God’s direction for moving to the Pacific Northwest, I’ve embarked upon a mission to impact the world of online church marketing. This web site is dedicated to this ongoing pursuit and an effort to support my friends in ministry by engaging in thoughtful debate about how to use the most modern communication skills in our arsenal to speak the message in truth.
About the Andersons
The Andersons are Jeremy, Michele, Josh and Nick. We recently relocated our family to the Pacific Northwest to a lovely little city in Oregon called Gresham. We like it here and it’s home for a while.
Why did we leave California? Well… after years of driving the 405 freeway between our home in North Orange County and either Los Angeles or Irvine for work, I (Jeremy ) pretty much got tired of the California rat race and decided something needed to change. That, coupled with the ginormous housing crisis left us with the decision to either stay in California and radically downsize our lifestyle while simultaneously working horrendous hours at a job I really didn’t like anyway, or head out for greener pastures where the landscape is a little easier to deal with, job hours are fewer, pace is less hectic and the tiniest house doesn’t cost a million dollars.
That’s how we ended up here.
Make no mistake, this was not an easy decision to make. We left behind many wonderful family and friends and especially our church family (miletwo::church) but we’re making new friends and have settled down at Grace Community Church in Gresham and we’re starting to get involved and really love it there.
To those we left behind in the OC… we love you. We would love to have you visit some day… stop in… see the view of Mt. Hood in the distance, sample some local pub fare, enjoy the great outdoors. It’s beautiful up here, really. Best of all the blood pressure is down, cholesterol is lowered, and I get home at 4:45 after a 15 minute commute instead of 8pm after a 2 hour commute. I almost forgot how great my family is. It’s really nice to be able to spend time with them again.
Peace out.
